FitOn vs Sweat Overview
There is not much to choose from when comparing FitOn and Sweat, both being fantastic home workout apps aimed primarily at women. They each have a fantastic variety of fitness content on offer, in a range of intensities suitable for beginners and more advanced users alike.
Both apps feature workout categories such as HIIT, cardio, yoga, pre and postnatal routines, and strength training. The apps make use of celebrity trainers to give your workouts a bit of star quality (Sweat was actually started by fitness influencer Kayla Itsines).
There are small differences to note in the format of the workouts. In FitOn, you get workout videos where the instructor guides you through the workouts, which feels like being in an actual fitness class. With Sweat, the workout format is more basic, where you only see an animated GIF of someone demonstrating the workout.
Additionally, there is no backing music in Sweat, while FitOn has plenty of tunes to motivate you during your workout.
The similarities do not stop at the workout content. In regards to additional features, again FitOn and Sweat are very similar in that they are packed with helpful features.
Both apps have a nutrition section with hundreds of healthy recipes and a daily meal planner to suggest meals based on dietary requirements. Community features are present in both apps, with the ability to follow and message friends, and forums dedicated to discussing all topics related to health, fitness, and nutrition.
How about price?
Price-wise, FitOn is definitely better value. All the workout videos are free to use. To unlock all the pro features (such as downloading videos offline and accessing training plans), it will cost only $24.99 for a 6-month subscription.
In comparison, Sweat requires a monthly subscription of $19.99 to use after your 7-day free trial ends.
Which is better? FitOn or Sweat?
FitOn and Sweat are very similar, and both apps are great options for working out at home. Beginners will be happy with either app as there is a huge range of workout intensity and duration available in each app.
Arguably, there is slightly more content available in FitOn than Sweat. There are more workout videos, more healthy recipes in the nutrition section, and more features packed around the edges. However, there is still plenty on offer in Sweat, and users of the app will not feel there is a lack of content.
If you are budget-conscious, FitOn is going to be the best choice for you, as it’s possible to access all the workout content for free.
We would recommend giving both apps a try before committing to either, as it will be the small features that make the difference!
